This is something you must ask yourself on a regular basis. Sometimes we tend to start things and not finish them. Or sometimes we start things with the intention of finishing them but something or in some cases someone gets in our way or distracts us from accomplishing our goals. The world we are living in has us distracted by many things and we are always looking for that "new shiny thing" which takes us off of our main goal: winning.
What does it mean to WIN? Winning may mean something different for everyone but I believe that most people can agree that winning is when you have experienced a reasonable amount of success in some area of your life. Some of you may not have experienced any success yet, but the remedy to failure is to keep on trying until you are successful.
Being consistent, persistent and determined to WIN is a part of the equation, but not all of it. You also need to know WHY you want to win. Not only do you need to know WHY, but you also need to know what purpose would your winning in a certain area or situation in your life serve? Will it help you out of a bad situation? Will it benefit all those who are involved? Ask yourself if what you are aiming or reaching for is worth it.
Last but not least, be dedicated. You have to be dedicated to yourself, your goals, and your dreams. No one is going to fight for your goals and dreams as hard or as much as you would, so why not fight for your success? My mentor and world renowned motivational speaker Les Brown has a saying, "No matter how bad it is, or how bad it gets, I'm going to make it!". That's the type of attitude that you must have for your life and for your dreams in general!
Having an "I can do it attitude" or a "I'm going to make it no matter what" type of mindset is what separates the losers from the winners and the followers from the leaders. So next time you question whether or not your goal or dream is possible, just ask yourself "How bad do I want to WIN?"
